He was born in a small, then remote village of northern India and was the youngest child out of the four. Just like every other kid in his position, he regularly ran approximately 8kms everyday to the school with a jute bag carrying his books, takhta (slate), kalam (pen), syahi (ink) and a copy. Of course, there used to be a Tiffin too, containing mostly roti and noon (a mixture of common salt, rock salt, dried/powdered ginger and chilli), on luckier days mango pickle replaced noon. After school, life was mostly spent in caretaking of a herd of buffaloes and in daily household chores. Homework used to be done mostly while the buffaloes grazed in the fields or at night under the oil lamp if nobody scolded him for wasting oil for useless school work. However, he managed to complete schooling with flying colours (under the strict guidance of the cane of the school master). Then he got into a polytechnic for diploma course in mechanical engineering, sustained re-exams in five subjects in the first semester for he was torn b/w studies and family responsibilities also due to the sudden change in the environment.  These re-exams were carried along till the final semester, however hard work paid, he learnt spoken English on his own and also he was one of the two boys who got a job in campus placements. The company never turned up after that, he then worked on a govt. project while being persuaded by the family to get back to the family business (farming). Then finally got a job in a well respected firm in 1981 at the age of 19, the salary was Rs 500 per month. In few years to come, he booked a bike but settled for a scooter, got married also and changed to a better job in a better city, got offer of joining big multinationals in the capital of the country but preferred to stay in a smaller city.  1987 brought an addition to the family, needs increased, a better job was needed, shifted to another beautiful city in western India. 1994 brought another addition to the family. Life was much better as family and career made a gradual progress towards better future. Next year, his eldest sister succumbed to cancer and a tumultuous period in family ensued. He coped up well, and was able to handle most of the things, also decided to move back, somewhere nearer to the home. Another seven years went quite peacefully. He bought a piece of land and built what he could call his home. Then his employers decided to transfer him to a field job in the country capital, where for next few years he tackled arrogant public and public servants who threatened him for his life. And when it went overboard he decided to move on. Shifted back to the last place with a new job which brought new tensions along. By now his elder child was going through his career deciding phase. And it turned out that the kid chose a line that he never thought of. As his kid got into college, he changed to newer job and newer city. The younger child now is in college, older in job, he himself is the vice-president of the company he is working for presently. Last year brought demise of his father and mother. Life still goes on…

sometimes i do wonder how a simple thing like potty, which everyone does everyday and is the byproduct of the human activities plus food can disgust anyone that much and that too in india where every second person uses indian toilets and washes it in a particular (you know what i mean) way. if potty really disgusts you, stop doing it! produce it no more, i say… then see how much trouble you get into (i guess you wont like the idea of keeping it stored inside of  you either). so many times you feel relieved after doing and still one never says- i am proud of pottying around! anyways, i know where i am heading again so i will stop… that disgust of others is a topic of laugh for me. you can get the taste of it (no not potty, but my habitual liking for the potty jokes)  from the number of times i have used the word in my blog so far.

i think i am so much in relation with these potty jokes that one day i might publish a whole book (something like- an idiot’s guide to perfecting potty) or may be i will just write some poems and ballads which might get famous in the time to come. till then i will keep sharing those potty jokes with the world whenever anyone pushes me hard

Since the last post alot of things have changed here. i got the highest placement in the college (of which i am really proud of and i am really surprised also), completed my final year with a design collection which did not get to the ramp, unofficially graduated from the college and started with job the very next day, in completely different part of the country (that part where i feel like a minority!).. adjusted to the injustice happening around, got comfortable with job and finally got a little numb, meanwhile, behavioral changes happened and at the end of it got back to my blog and started writing this post, thinking it might just help me to get over this city and the loneliness i go through everyday.. and yeah i forgot to mention i also tried my hands on twitter quite desperately making 3-4 random accounts/handles and finally thinking to settle with the current one (@desibigot).

so where should i start from and where should it end, i really don’t know… leaving an amazing college life (where i literally irritated the shit out of all my classmates) and an amazing group of friends has been quite hard.. the only support on which i am surviving right now is the hope of getting back with them and spend rest of the life peacefully and quietly, doing my own random stuff (which i don’t think is going to happen in this lifetime!). now that college is over and i am into job with a very good company (which pays really well and has been sitting in oddest of the locations since its inception!) i really don’t feel like writing, well, its not like that i don’t feel like writing its that sort of a feeling where in my mind i write some of the most interesting things that happen with me on day to day basis but when it comes down to jotting them down on paper/WordPress i feel tired, i go to watch a movie and finally come home and sleep..

Life after college is not at all like what i imagined while being in college.. sometimes frustration of being alone mounts so much that i stop taking calls of my dear and near ones, fight with them when they call continuously and fail to understand me.. you may also say i am not easy with taking suggestions on HOW-TO-HANDLE-MY-LIFE, because i feel whatever i am doing is going to be right one day… anyways… kuch jyada hi negative stuff i have written.. i will now start posting on a more positive note than ever, i will SQUEEZE out time to pursue at least one of the things i always wanted to do in my life i.e. write in the most irresponsible ways one could imagine and give chetan bhagat a run for his money (chetan sir, just joking…)

Another thing/idea that has been floating in my head for quite sometime is to start writing 100 word biographies of my loved ones and people i meet. also as i am a fashion designer i might start writing about Indian designers and my favorite subject i.e. photography and pop art, but i need help, i need someone of same wavelength as mine, who can help me in creating new posts and getting me motivated (by that i meant someone who can give me ideas and topics to write about in the respective fields). i also want to write a lot of shitty stuff about my current location of stay but i fear the government and localiites so much that i will anyway post it here but in a more diplomatic (politically correct) way..
